Every time I hoover my blood sugar plummets no matter what precautions I take. Today, for instance: before hoovering: 8.4. About 15 mins into hoovering: 3.1. Slightly inconvenient as I have people coming over in an hour! Oh well. Does this happen to anyone else?

I believe cleaning hypos are quite common here on the forum, I've learned not to risk it 🙂

I don't hoover (no carpets, or hoover!), but mowing the grass does the same thing to me! 😱 I usually top up with a couple of jelly babies before doing it 🙂

I go hypo every time I vacuum Lauren even if I jelly baby at the same time. Hoover are missing an advertising trick there I think 🙂

Yes - same thing happen to me whilst hoovering. Avoid it like the plague now :D

I don't go hypo, but I know that if my bg is too high to exercise, any kind of housework involving waving my arms around - hoovering, wiping, scrubbing - will bring it down nicely. 🙂

i wonder how many Diabetic orchestra conductors there are out there?!

Grouting, removing bath sealant, and cutting sticks or ball throwing are also good blood sugar beaters, all about the arms :D

We need to beef up - arms like Popeye's, that's what we need!🙄
