Hey guys,
Ive just come back from seeing my diabetic nurse at the hospital because I am still having so many hypos. Last week they dropped both my pens by a few units to try and combat this but it only worked for one day.
But I keep having hypos and yesterday it went down to 1.4 so they asked me to come in with all my things this morning so they can look over it all.
Got a bit confused because I was told in hospital (for those that dont know was only diagnosed last month on the 27th June) that I was type one, and I have been treated like a type 1. But she started saying that my blood work saying what type I was still hadnt come back yet so they didnt know!!!
But she did say that my hba1c test come back as being over 140 which she says is high. So I asked does that go with saying I am more type one or two an she said she didnt wanna say yet. So i felt a bit like great all this worry and I might not even be type one!
She went and spoke to the consultant and they agreed to drop my long lasting insulin some more. But then the consultant come and spoke to me and was asking questions, and he said that he thinks I am 100% type one because of how it came on and how ill I was with DKA when I came in. Also my because there is no patterns to my hypos they are all over the place and any time. So he says this is just because of the honeymoon period!!!
But its a brilliantly hot day outside (which we havent had in sooooo long) and I have been told not to be outside because the heat burns off the insulin quicker.
Dont mind to much, dont really like heat, prefer the winter really haha.
Me and my dad was laughing because I can never do anything by halfs!
I guess this gives me time to work on some uni stuff and get a start on my youtube videos!
How is everyone else? xx
