For the first time today ever I made pasta!

Very easy, but with out a pasta machine rolling it out was very very hard work indeed...

Not only was I surprised by how much nicer it tasted (tomorrow off to get a pasta machine) but also suprised by how differently it reacted on my BG's than packet pasta...

I calculated from the flour and recipe the carb amount per 100g of carbs, but homemade pasta curtainly reacts differently, as both me and Les had hypo's afterwards, mine hit at about 3 hours after and Les hit at 4 hours after...

So it seems that fresh impacts on the bloods a lot less than packet...

But boy was it nice..

Maybe the cooking process effects fresh stuff differently meaning the resultant carb amount when on the plate may be much different...........or maybe not.................glad you enjoyed it........🙂

ooh I love homemade pasta, haven't made it for years but it is far better than anything you can buy in the shops and is a reminder of how pasta 'should' taste!
