Mine are still a few days off being ready to sample. and now that I'm allergic, I may have to put them in yoghurt or something to get away with it, It seems to work as long as I don't eat them unclothed. Sigh. The last few times I had shop bought ones I came over very odd abut half an hour later, I went all dopey and shaky and felt sick. NOT FAIR!

Aw that's a shame Alison, it's the first year we have had any decent strawberries from our allotment, filled two small bags this week, just a few left to pick now - really pleased with them :D

You cant beat growing your own ! Sorry to here Alison. When im finished work I love eating stuff like that straight from the garden 😎 Not be long for Toms

Had my second one of the year from the garden so the ripeness must be getting near Inverness any day now.

Sunday morning & had more 🙂 Sun out & they taste better cos you grew them 😎

Close, but not quite there yet. Only one berry is turning pink so far. I do wish they'd hurry up but I think this cold weather is affecting them.

You have to be patient Ali (Hurry up !) 🙄 Mine are all in full steam ahead mode now & are nice 😉

Finished work & in the garden. Picking of the plant makes them taste better 🙂

Sadly, they all shrivelled up and died on me. The rasps however, are thriving (they like 'testing' conditions) and I've had a few of them along with some peas and beans in the last few days. Yum.

lovely nothing better than home grown
