Hi everyone

I found this site tonight and just wanted to say hello.

I'm 32, type 1 and was diagnosed October 2005. I also had gestational diabetes while carrying my son (now 6) at 32 weeks pregnant.

When I was 20 weeks pregnant with my daughter (now 10 months old) I started with the insulin pump and still have it, it's brilliant. Before that I was injecting 4 times a day.

Hi Rachael - welcome to the forum, I may be asking you for advice in the next few weeks, I am currently 27 weeks pregnant with my first child. Can I ask how you managed to be given a pump whilst pregnant? I am on the waiting list for a pump, but have been told even if I get to the top of the list, I will have to wait until after giving birth before getting my pump.
