Type 2
Hi , I am Bob from Herefordshire, diagnosed with Type 2 in 1994, managed on tablets for nearly 10 yrs , then was put on Insulin , This cost me my job as i was a class 1 driver, was doing ok , piled the weight on and neuropathy took hold, I now have no feeling from the waist down , Since i moved back to Hereford and was put under my new Dr 5 yrs now , I was really taught how to control my sugars and have done quite well , 2 yrs ago i was put onto Byetta and with this i lost 5 and a half stone, I am off it now and back on Insulin and feeling great , Have built myself a trike and ride it everywhere. Life is good now , Wish i had a more understanding Dr years ago. anyway thats it , Pleased to meet you all 🙂

Welcome to the forums Bob 🙂

Hi Bob, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear that you lost your livelihood and that you had to suffer so much before you found a doctor who was able to give you the appropriate treatment, such a shame when much of it may have been unavoidable :(

It's good to hear you sounding so positive now. Congratulations on a terrific weight loss! If there is anything that we can help with, please ask - there are people with all sorts of different experiences here so it can be very useful to pool our knowledge and learn a little bit more each day 🙂
