Hi, I’ve recently been diagnosed with type 2 and just wanted to say hi.

hi, welcome to the forum
If you have questions fire away and a lovely knowledgable person will be able to help you. My diabetes knowledge is still limited so I cheer from the sidelines :D

And welcome to the forum from me to @Lewanna98 I echo the above post as I'm still on the learning curve.

Welcome to the forum @Lewanna98

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Was it picked up as part of routine screening/GP checks, or had you been feeling a bit “off” with some symptoms and went to get those checked out?

Were you told the result of your HbA1c? This will be a number above 47mmol/mol, and can help you understand how much your metabolism has been struggling to balance your glucose levels recently.

Were you offered any medications to help with your glucose management? Or are you having a period of time on diet and exercise to see what effect some changes to menu and activity levels can have first?

We have lots of members using different approaches to help them manage their diabetes, with or without medication, many of whom are able to keep their glucose levels in a healthy range using a mix of strategies and techniques to suit them.
