HbA1c and other bloods are being taken today. What do you reckon, higher or lower? Looking at my siggy and my recent readings I'm not sure I want to know.

That is a tricky one, as you've had such a roller coaster. I'm afraid I'll have to go for a 9%, but hoping for lower.

I'll go with 8.7, very best of luck Alison!

Alison I will got for 8.3% good luck

So far so not too bad. I've managed to lose about 4.5 kilos and there are no problems with my feet or other extremities. My BP is up though which is a concern (it wasn't the machines this time, they think it might be the Byetta).

The answer was higher dammit! My HbA is 79 or 9.5. Waiting call from DSN. I'm devastated.

Gutted............but not to bad considering how hard is it for you to manage your diabetes.......

Keep on fighting.........🙂

I'd say well done Alison! Looking at your last HBA1c results, you tend to go down, then up...and your last one was down. your other 'higher' ones seemed to be in double figures so well done for it only going into the 9s!

try not to be too disheartened. As soon as that blood is taken it's out of date. you could already be better than that was 🙂

I'm actually sitting here crying because I'm so down over this. I wish there was some way of helping myself or the clinic/surgery could come up with something. I am at my wit's end with this, it isn't fair. I try, I really do. I eat well, I exercise, I take the damned pills and jabs. What more can I do?

Apologies, I'm feeling very sorry for myself just now.

(------) big hugs Alison...I know there's no point in us all being happy for you if you feel gutted by them. Speak with your diabetes team and see what they suggest, then take it from there. I'm keeping everything crossed for your next one. *hugs*

Just to say sorry you are feeling so down and really hope you get some help with getting the numbers down. Hug.

Ah, I'm so sorry Ally :( Diabetes has been such a struggle for you, I do hope your consultant is able to make some helpful recommendations so you can get some stability in your levels and your efforts rewarded. {{{hugs}}}
