HI Roozie. I was diagnosed with LADA last November, so I'm fairly new at it too. With the current COVID situation, the NHS isn't able to offer the DAFNE courses. So a book which was recommended on one of these forums, which I've found to be uber helpful, is "Think Like a Pancreas". It's become my Type 1 diabetes go-to book. Best of luck to you.So today, after blood tests confirmed that I am now type 1, I had my introduction to the joys of taking insulin. So much info to take on board, but I’m sure I’ll get there eventually!
Hi @pondita , I believe you can do Dafne online, I did Bertie too online.HI Roozie. I was diagnosed with LADA last November, so I'm fairly new at it too. Oh my life! What on earth did I do? Perhaps I signed up for one there. I know I've gone through Bertie twice and actually keep going back for reminders. Looks like though they gave been developing something for online though. My apologies.I don't think DAFNE is available online - though they do have a website it does not refer to an online course - still only BERTIE offering it as far as I know.
I did the Bertie online too. But I asked my Community diabetes nutritionist about the DAFNE courses in our area, and she said that they've been put on hold. She said that their thinking is that you need to have hands on and group discussions to get the best benefit of the class.Hi @pondita , I believe you can do Dafne online, I did Bertie too online.
