I hope you don't mind me asking but just out of curiosity why do you not eat for 12 hours? I have not heard of anyone else doing this and wondered what the advantage to you is. Sorry Fifi240 hope you don't mind me stepping in to ask this on your post.I get the same thing - my ever helpful liver thinks I am starving and throws out glucose so I can chase down dinner. I eat breakfast these days in order to stop it, then do not eat for 12 hours.
I am sure that I am a boring type two though, not something more exotic but misdiagnosed.
Why is my sugars so high even after not eating for 15 hours
In ordinary times I was often out all day, so I would often eat after loading up the car and then not eat again until I arrived back in the evening. By using my meter I would see that my levels were good and I did not have to bother with finding food or taking anything with me - though I did get a couple of flasks for transporting coffee in cooler weather.I hope you don't mind me asking but just out of curiosity why do you not eat for 12 hours?
