High blood sugar when waking

Have not checked my blood sugar from start of lockdown till yesterday am showing 12.2 when waking is this ok
 
Hi @MJA, welcome to the forum.

Yes, that is a high reading - can you tell us a bit more, e.g. why haven't you tested since the lockdown started and what were your usual readings like before, are you on medication, what's your HbA1c, etc. We can then get a better sense of what's happening and may be able to offer some advice 🙂
 
Because my wife works for N H S have been isolating away from home only just been able to get my testing machine previous morning results have been between 6 and 9 last hmac1test result 50 hope this helps
 
Glad you have got your kit back now @MJA

I think you will need to collect a bit more data to be sure, but 12.2 is quite a high result and may indicate your diabetes has changed slightly and you may need to adjust and adapt your management strategies.
