I was confirmed with hiatus hernia a few months ago and when I was given prescription of rantidine and lansoprazole my blood sugars came down to a more managed level. The infection from ulceration meant my bloods were rising without eating especially at night. I however am having problems with the effectiveness of my reflux medication and I am now in position where I'm in discomfort as well as much higher bloods. I was told that operation is not really done for this type of stomach hernia but can I insist on operation if medication is no longer working and complications are increasing especially with neology diabetes. Can anyone give me advise.
