Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi, I was diagnosed type 2, two years ago. I am 63 this year and I need to loose weight. I've had a lot of stress this last 2 years too which hasn't helped as I'm a comfort eater x

Welcome @Toni17 🙂 Are you on any medication for the diabetes or are you treating it by diet alone?

Hi
I was diagnosed with t2 a month or so ago , also on metformin 3 x daily I’ve lost nearly a stone , how are you finding the medication, they made me feel sickly but is settling down down ,

Welcome both
I hope you are also reducing your carbohydrates in your diet as that will be the thing that will make a significant difference to blood glucose levels, metformin can only help the body use the insulin you are producing more effectively but still needs reduced carb intake so it can do it's job.
This link may help you with a low carb approach. https://lowcarbfreshwell.co.uk/

Hi @Toni17, it's great to see you've joined the forum, it can be difficult choosing what to eat. We do have a range of different meal plans and recipes on our website - https://bit.ly/3CtQIUZ. Before starting any of these plans consult your GP for any further advice. 🙂
