Just wanted to say hi everyone I’m Emily mum to Maisie who is 8 and was diagnosed in November although she hates the word diagnosed so we say diabetes came to stay. she’s coping really well, mostly. We live in Norfolk and she absolutely loves chocolate so she had lots of insulin at Xmas!!

Hi Emily, - welcome to the forum to you and Maisie.
It's good to know that she is coping well, and please ask the forum if you need any particular information or help.
There are many other parents on the site, who I am sure will be pleased to help.

It has been great to read how well you have both been coping.

The book by Ragnar Hanas, recommended by @everydayupsanddowns is a very useful resource, as is all the support from members on here.
