I was diagnosed a few weeks ago, and joined the low carb programme, which has been very successful.
Having a bit of a wobble this week due to stress, so I thought I'd sign up here to read some tips.

Hello @TWs welcome to the forum 🙂. Wobbles, ups & downs, roller coasters etc. etc. Your figures quoted are very good, I would be more than happy to have such good results. Its interesting to members how results are reached, maybe you can share your daily regime with the forum and allow other members especially T2s to share your results especially food control to make an informed decision based on personal experience.

I was doing very well, my diabetes was picked up via an annual blood test and so it wasn't very established. I wanted to try diet control and so I started on 100g of carbs a day and my BS went down fairly soon.
HbA1c at diagnosis was 51, at 3 months it was 38. My fasting bloods have been below 5.4 , as low as 4.4
I've kept under 85g carbs a day for weeks, but have been under a lot of stress so planned to go up to 95g a day to allow for a treat. It seemed to be working until 3 nights ago. My chocolate consumption has been going up, so instead of 1-2 squares of 85% it's been more, and more. I re-started testing every morning and my BS was 5.5 yesterday and 5.9 this morning.
Today I've tried to go under 85g again, but there is still bedtime.

you've been doing great! I'm in the 12wk process; see if can manage my DT2 on my own. Where yours is chocolate mine is CRACKERBREAD...love the stuff could eat it all day! But trying to keep it to 4 pieces instead of a whole box.
Keep going you'll get back to it....as is only you who can control your diabetes. That is what I tell myself all time.

I don't seem to do stress these days - I have pork chops or sausages or chicken for breakfast and that seems to make all the difference to what I can cope with.

I had a good day yesterday and my fasting blood this morning was 5.2
but scary how little extra sugar it takes to push me up into the diabetes range again
