hi all.
quick history , diagnosed dec 2014 hbac1 62 put on metformin and gliclazide , over next year metformin increased to 2000mg my lvls were steadily rising till feb 2016 hbac1 120. had to see specialist who took me off met and glic and put me on dapaglifozin 10mg and saxagliptin 5mg, this helped and brought my hbac1 down to about 80 but still not great even though i ate healthily and exercised regulary did the usual courses saw dietition etc etc but basically kept get told i am lying about what i eat and what exercise i was doing , also had a mini stroke feb 2017 ( aged 49) which didnt help matters
moved to new area about a month ago changed doctors he couldnt believe what was going on with me , made me buy dr cavan,s book and started making me take 2000mg metformin on top of my dap and sax thankfully my sugar lvls are coming back down to under 10 (was mid 20s consistently) . so the fingers crossed plan is better control bit more weight loss and a gradual reduction of pills. thankfully i am already feeling 100% better .
a lot of work to go but i will get there
