I was going to the loo a lot and was extremely tired ,then I started loosing weight

Well, hopefully now that you have been diagnosed and are receiving treatment you will begin to feel much better than you may have done for some time. It's never great to be diagnosed with something, but diabetes is something that can be managed well and can result in you becoming healthier and happier (you may not believe this right now, of course!).

thanks , the doc has me on metformin ,im gaining a bit of weight on it ,even though im not supposed to ,my numbers are a bit high though ,7 to 10 fasting ,he is going to start me on forxiga soon, does anyone know anything about this drug or is anyone taking it ?
