Hi. My son has just passed his anniversary since developing T1 diabetes. Obviously being a member of this forum is all about him. After a year of coming to terms with this fact I find there is still so much to learn. My son's blood sugars are pretty difficult to control. Hopefully the forum will be able to answer some of my questions.

Hi jeg1000, ans welcome! There are quite a few parents here that can share their advice and experiences, so I'm sure you'll find it a friendly and useful place to be.

Hi

I'm a mum. My daughter has been T1 since 5 weeks old and she is now nearly 9. She is on an insulin pump. We have been through most of the insulins and now carb count etc.

Can I recommend you take a look at www.childrenwithdiabetesuk.org This is a website just for type 1 children and is written by parents with type 1 children. You will find loads of information there about what you should except from people and different regimes, what you are entitled to, everything and anything.

Take care.

Adrienne🙂
