So confused originally diagnosed type 2 took tablets then added victoza injection now been on insulin nearly 1yr had a check up (not diabetic) nurse said im type 1 now because of insulin can it really change like that??
 
Hi Isobel, I wouldn't take the nurse's word for it, there are many T2's who are on insulin. Check with your GP.

Hello isobel. I think that Nurse needs to do another job. Can you imagine your pancreas does not work T1. T2 it may work 70/80% who knows. By the way welcome 🙂. Keep asking
 
I've just start a diabetic information course for type 2's. Diabetic Specialist Nurse on that said about T2s on insulin. Some think they're now type 1 because they're on insulin. That's not so. You're a type 2 who start taking insulin aren't type 1s, they type 2s who take insulin. (Seems kind of repetitive. When I read it tomorrow I was it's ok! 🙂) However, was she failing to say you have not been T2, you're T1?
