Thank you, I'll look into the butternut squash, with my ibs I think it is going to be trial and error. I've been looking on amazon and found something made by a company called Fullgreen. they do riced cauliflower & broccoli and similar items. They look like they could be a feasible alternative?

I found when I cut the carbs and ate more vegetables that my IBS actually improved, though of course there is no guarantee that you will find the same

Funnily enough, I have also found this to be true. The initial reason I went to my GP was for a persistent upset stomach. I still have to go for a colonoscopy this week but my tummy issues have improved massively as my BG has come down and I'm now on a low carb diet. Of course, this is my story and won't be the same for everyone.
 
Thanks, any help with the IBS would be good. It is good news that it could help. I'm still researching and will be trying different foods to see which don't cause problems. it's difficult for me to replace most of the potato and rice, my favourite foods!
looking into snacks at the moment, I've tended to go for rice cake, I'd like to try something different.
