new to all this. Call on friday to say hbc thing high 82 . They will tell me more on wednesday! Bit defated not sure what to expect any tips on questions or anything

Welcome @Suuy 🙂 My tips are to write down your questions for Wednesday; to also write down a food diary of what you ate pre-diagnosis (so you can see places where you can make changes); and to have a read round this site. Do ask anything you want here.

Welcome to the forum @Suuy

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It can be a pretty overwhelming and emotional time, so be kind to yourself and take things steady.

Hopefully you will feel a lot more settled after Wednesday’s appointment. It maybe that your HbA1c is high enough that they will recommend starting on one or more medications. Some of these can have a bit of short term ‘gastric upheaval’ while your body gets used to them, so perhaps ask about what you should do if you experience this, and what they would recommend - sometimes there are alternative formulations that are easier on the tum.

As @Inka says, taking a list of anything you wanted to ask about is really helpful as it can be all too easy to forget what you were going to check once the conversation starts flowing!

Hope it goes well 🙂
