Hi, I've been lurking on and off for a while and thought that since I seem to hang out here a fair bit it would be good if I could join in sometimes. Not that I have much to say, but it's the principle :D

I'm Type 1 using Levimir and Humalog. I carb count and stay reasonably well controlled with the occasional OMG moment. I've just had to re-do the whole basal testing thing but hopefully I've got it all sorted now.

Like all of us I find that the continual control can get very, very wearisome at times but I try to stay on top of it all.

Hi Coffeepot, welcome to the forum 🙂 How did you come to be diagnosed?

Glad you have decided to join in, I look forward to hearing more from you 🙂

Hello and welcome from me coffeepot- glad youve joined us from the lurking closet!

I was diagnosed about five years ago after having a partial pancreatectomy to remove pre-cancerous tumours. There was only a 10% chance of ending up with diabetes but if it's a choice between diabetes and tumours - I'll take the diabetes!

I'm a lifelong Floyd fan and heaven is the DVD of the Pulse gig, a large pot of black coffee and a 40g bar of 85% dark chocolate (for a lovely low 7g of carb!)

Hello CP and welcome to the forum 🙂 I see you are from the South West as well 🙂
