Thanks for replies yes it sounds like it’s known as the Newcastle one,im just eager to get started and as its just recently been rolled out in West Yorkshire information is slim about how quick from referral to having the goods to start and i cant find any info on the process

Welcome to the forum @Daztray

Do let us know how you get on with the Newcastle / Soup&Shake diet. It’s great to see this being offered more widely to people (as one of a number of options). Hope it works well for you.

I think Prof Taylor’s book is linked in the Books section.

It doesn’t work for everyone, and I think some find it more of a challenge than others - but we have had some success stories on the forum.

Good luck with it, and keep us posted. 🙂

I'm sure that for those who could tolerate the Newcastle diet it would be a good if draconian choice (ditto for any ultra-low calorie or intermittent fasting diets).

Guess we each have to play to our strengths when it comes to reacting to our individual diagnoses. Not just about our actual diets and exercise regime, but how we take that up. Some like the comfort/ease/reassurance etc of signing up to an 'external programme' (eg, Newcastle diet), some don't.

But whatever works, helps.
