Hi Have you had a full blood test to show AbH1c - glucose in blood over time ? Mine was high at 56.Have you got yourself a blood glucose monitor? This will allow you to see what foods your body can tolerate without making your BG go high.If you don’t have a BG monitor the most recommended on this forum are the Sprit Healthcare Tee2 and the GlucoNavii. For testing you will need to test before you eat and 2 hours after. A normal range of numbers is 4-7 and after 2 hours looking for no more than a 2-3 rise in numbers. ( Sorry if I have bombarded you with too much info at once)
My diabetes Nurse , for GP , offered me a glucose test monitor and showed me how to use it. Have you asked your doc for one to help. I get the strips and the prick pen on prescription. Do you have a service online to write to your doc. to say you arent clear about your diet and can you have a monitor set? My GP is phoning me today as the result of blood tests , and monitor.........
