Hi I am new to the forum as well
Hi h884 and a very warm welcome to our friendly forum. It might be a good idea if you opened your own Newby thread to attract forum members attention - more of us will then see your thread and will answer as many questions as you want to ask. Good luck with your diabetes journey, take care x

Hi Pisces - and a very warm welcome to our friendly supportive forum - glad you found us but on the other hand sorry to see you have found yourself in the world of Diabetes. You have come to the right place for advice tips and general chat about anything you wish to discuss. We are a friendly bunch of souls here and will accompany you on your diabetes journey. There's always someone who will pop along & happily answer your queries so do feel free to do so - oh and no question is a silly question🙂!

Being dx (Diagnosed) often comes as a shock and can be overwhelming & a daunting prospect - but fear not, we have all been where you are now.

There is a thread called *Useful links for people new to diabetes* come out of this thread & click on *newbys say hello here* then click on *Useful links......* You will find that link very helpful.

So we can advise/help you could you please tell us a little about yourself :-
When were you diagnosed?
What medication are you taking - if any?
Has your GP or DSN supplied you with a blood glucose testing kit? Not every GP will agree to do this!
If so, when do you test your own bgls (Blood glucose levels)
By this i mean finger prick testing with a lancet?
Are you able to do any exercise ie. Walking - swimming - cycling etc?

I don't wish to overwhelm you more than you are with more questions at this stage but do keep in touch with us and take care x
