Welcome @Yankey 🙂 How long have you had Type 2? Are you on any medication for it?

Hi Yankey, welcome to the forum.

Glad that you've been able to join us as getting support early on can make all the difference.

Feel free to share a bit more about you such as how you were diagnosed and any concerns you may have.

We've got lots of info on the forum so have a look around and let us know if we can help in any way.

There is a lot to get your head around when you get a diagnosis but it is a very manageable condition if you take the right steps. How big the steps need to be will depend on how far into the diabetes zone you are and what your HbA1C result is will indicate that and what dietary measures you will need to take may also depend if you have been prescribed any medication. Some manage by dietary changes alone by adopting a low carb, low calorie or shakes-based regime.
Personally I found the low carb approach successful following the principals in this link. https://lowcarbfreshwell.co.uk/
If you share a bit more information about your diagnosis you will get some more targeted responses but do ask any questions you have.
