New Member
Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Joined today after many years of having diabetes.
I am a helpful member of the Paphos Diabetic Support Group, Cyprus and we meet once a month at a local tavern (of course we only drink non alcoholic drinks.)
This by pure chance initially was all UK members and has remained so. I believe the Cypriots have their own group. As it implies it merely passes on information and ideas from those inflicted and in no way substitutes for medical assistance.

Hi John, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sounds like you have good support over there, good to hear 🙂

If we can help with anything, please let us know, otherwise just join in whenever you wish 🙂

Hello John and welcome to the forum.

I thought it would be somewhat beneficial to hear how Cyprus deals medically etc. with the extremely large number of Cypriot diabetics.

Welcome, John.🙂

Indeed, it would John - how well does the system cope over there, is the level of care generally good?

Hi John
Warm welcome to the forum.

Hi John, funny how us Expats find each other..... I live in a small community in California yet our Search & Rescue team has 3 British expats, 1 German, 1 Spaniard & 1 Argentinian in a team of about 22

Welcome to the forum. 🙂

My wife and I spent Christmas 2015 in Cyprus. Nice and warm it was, but she had a stinking cold (typically my immune system kicks most lurgies in to touch).

Anyway, it was also somewhat incongruous watching people in Christmas hats walking along a warm sunny beach!

Andy 🙂
