Parent of person with diabetes
Mum to long term type 1 daughter. It never gets any easier, however long you have been watching your daughter deal with this, she is now in her 32nd year !!!

Welcome to the forum! I guess we are always parents! Glad you found us 🙂.

Hee hee - at 32 I'd have strangled my mother if she'd been discussing my diabetes care of myself on an open forum! Mind you I was 22 and already married and in my own home when I was diagnosed. Nob all to do with her.

However as a step-mum to two grown up daughters and numerous other kids great and small LOL - I do actually know where you're coming from NOW - but never did till I was 48 and I was plonked into motherhood and grandma-hood together, for the first time! (Hence - the first time (well the only time) I ever had nits or anything to do with the swine personally - I was 50!)

Hi Tutu, welcome to the forum 🙂 Is that 32 years of diabetes or 32 years old? 😉 Hope things are going well for her 🙂
