Welcome from a Type 2. There are many experience and knowledgeable T1's in here, so if you have a question or a problem - just ask!

Hi and welcome from me too.

I am just a few months behind you on my journey with Type 1. Which insulins are you on? Do you have any of the latest tech like Freestyle Libre or a pump? How are you finding managing it? Any particular problems?
There are some really experienced people here on the forum who are kind enough to share their knowledge so I hope you will find being a member as hugely beneficial as I have.... as well as perhaps make a few friends in the process.

Hi everyone. I am type-1 diabetic for 2 years and I am 31 years old. I am glad to be here. 🙂
Welcome to the forum, from another late starter .
I have learnt loads from others on here. Glad that you have found us.

I look forward to hearing more from you.
Stay in touch.

Hi again 🙂 I am using just novorapid because I am using medtronic veo insulin pump with enlite sensor. So I left out my lantus solo star (bazal insulin) long time ago. I am managing not perfect but good. My latest HbA1c 5.8. I know this forum is really benefical for people like us. I am open for all your wisdom. Thanks for your kindness 🙂

The one thing we can probably agree on is that perfect diabetes control is the Holy Grail... and maybe best not strived for unless you like to fail! Clearly with the help of your pump you are doing fantastic though!

It sounds like you are doing well, and as @rebrascora said perfection is impossible. It took me a while to accept this and I know that I have much better life balance. All we can do is make effective use of the tech we have available and do the best that we can. Great that you have an insulin pump as this makes things a lot more flexible with the basal rates set hour by hour, Temporary Basal Rates and setting appropriate boos ratios throughout the day. (And then just when you have that all sorted, finding that they need changing again!)
It certainly keeps us on our toes.

Keep in touch and fire away with any questions that you have.

What part of the world are you in @raptorcengiz?

It would be unusual to get a Veo in the UK over the last 2 years because it was replaced by the MM640G.

I thought everyone had been moved over to Guardian G3s too!

How long were you on MDI? And how did you find the switch to insulin pumping?

Welcome to the forum, glad you found us. . 5.8 sounds pretty good to me! We are all learning on here, I picked up a tip on the hypo thread just the other day about chewing my jelly babies from @trophywench so this is a great place to be.

Hi again. Sorry for late reply because I am too busy these days :(
I'm living in Turkey but in one month I'll move in UK and yes I'm still using VEO model 🙂
I used MDI just two months later I switched insulin pump. My doctor and a type1 friend advised it to me 🙂
