Hello @JulieD , welcome to the forum and to the club that no one wants to join .
Ask all the questions you need to about diabetes we’ll do our best to help.

How are you doing on the slow release Metformin.

It does come as rather a shock when you’re first diagnosis but I would like to reassure you that with the right info and a bit of work that diabetes is a condition that can be managed well.

Thank you all for your replies so far.
I have now been on the slow release metformin for 8 days and seems to be going well, so far no noticeable side effects 🙂
I saw my GP practice nurse on Thursday bit think I will need/want more guidance so might sign up for the education session here.
