Hi @Funkyshaz67 and welcome to the forum. Can you tell us a little about yourself? How long you've been diagnosed, what your BG levels are etc? It would help tailor answers to any questions you may have.

How long ago were you told you were at risk of diabetes? Have you got diabetes in your family?

Are there any particular frustrations or concerns you have at the moment?

Hi just had results of a recent blood test at my GP surgery, and they said my levels were pre-diabetic. I know i am overweight and as i have a sedentary job i know i dont exercise as much as i should. To be honest this was the wake up call i needed
Pre-diabetic is good! Well, better than diabetic 🙂 A few tweaks to lifestyle should bring you back to a "healthy" range. Aside from eschewing sugary and sweet things, if you reduce your carb consumption this will not only help you lose weight but also reduce your blood glucose. So that's cutting down portions of spuds, bread, pasta and rice. You don't need to cut them out completely, in fact it is better for you to reduce them gradually.
Re the exercise, I too have a sedentary job but I do a brisk walk first thing and then after work. It's easier at this time of year, as no one wants to turn out on a cold dark winter's day, but you soon get used to it. I never walked anywhere before diagnosis, now I walk between 5 and 8 miles per day depending on if I'm working.
Like you, diagnosis was a wake-up call for me and I feel fitter now that I have done in decades! Best of luck to you
