Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Not posted on here for a while
Type one and carb counting
Ill at the moment and on penicillin
Normal correction is 1unit ‐ 3 ml
2units 6ml but still have having spikes
Phoned diabetic nurse but didn't understand what she said, 1-2units ?
No KETONE thankfully
Might be given myself too much insulin ?

Sorry to hear you aren’t well at the moment. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Have you also been adjusting your other doses? Like basal and meal doses? It may be that your overall sensitivity to insulin has changed while your body is dealing with the infection, so you may need more insulin overall?

Have you ever been given Sick Day Rules to refer to during periods of illness? These from the Leicester Diabetes Centre might help?
