I've been lurking for a couple of months and have learnt a lot especially tips on what to eat. I was diagnosed in November after a range of blood tests done by my respiratory Nurse. I have Steroid induced type II which wasn't a surprise as I still had symptoms after stopping steroids after my chest infection in November. I've been seen by the surgery's Diabetic Nurse and a Hospital Consultant who will continue to share my care. I've spent 11 years taking steroids and have hypertension and osteoporosis due to steroids. I take Metformin ever day and Gliclazide when on steroids. Still learning but getting to grips with it like everyone else.

Hi mousetrap
Warm welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard.

Hi mousetrap good to meet you I am also new as you probably have already figured 🙂

Those steroids as nasty drugs but then so are the bone meds.

Hope you can get the BG to stabilize.

I am still getting to grips with the diet. At the moment trying to achieve the diabetic plate and the breakfast and lunch suggestions.

Not figured out yet if there is a cap on how much fresh fruit is recommended daily. Unsure if I am having too much.

Welcome aboard.

Gawd pottersusan, you best not venture out on a windy day
