My name is Lee, I am 32 and have had Diabetes for around 31 years now 🙂
 
Hello, Lee, and welcome to the forum. You must have seen quite a few changes in insulin regimes, testing etc over that period.

I Remember having to test my blood and matching the colour of the stick against a chart to see what the result was!

That was a check for the accuracy of my first meter (2000~2004; I've forgotten what it was called, but it was in the meter range which was the forerunner of the AccuCheks), and I remember an LED torch (which gives a much whiter light than most artificial light sources) being very useful for this purpose. 🙂
