Hi all.

Thank you for opening up! How are you finding T1D?

I have had T1D for 21 years, I am 26 and found out that I had it when I was 5!

The management of my levels is going well . I have had low blood sugar but never had a hypo yet to me knowledge. I try to be really careful with my levels.

That's great to hear! I have been struggling a lot with high blood sugar at the moment as I have been quite anxious since having an issue with my carb counting last week. I have recently started carb counting properly so I am slowly adapting to the change, hoping to get an Omnipod pump soon to help. I have always had high blood sugars but now have hypo anxiety but I am getting better everyday!

I did a big post about how I am feeling when I joined earlier today. Feel free to have a look on my profile 🙂

Hi. I'm not sure how to access your post as I brand new to this form. I'll keep trying though.

Hi and welcome from me too. I was also diagnosed at 55yrs old and now 61 but unlike you, I have had many, many hypos in the past 6 years, so I am really impressed that you haven't had any! There are some advantages to my situation in that I don't worry about hypos and I am very confident of dealing with them
Which insulin(s) do you use?
Do you have a Constant Glucose Monitor (CGM) like Libre or Dexcom?
Are you on injections or an insulin pump?

Sorry for all the questions, feel free to answer as many or as few as you are comfortable with.

Good to hear you are getting on well! What medications (if any) are you on?
