Welcome to the forum @Dash

How long have you been living with T2? Are you taking any medication to help with your blood glucose management?

Are there any particular frustrations or worries that have made you want to join the forum at this time?

Feel free to share as much or as little about your diabetes as you’d like. And ask away with any questions you may have. No questions are considered ‘silly’ here 🙂

It is worrying that you only mention 'sugar' as it is all carbohydrates which convert to glucose which could explain why you are struggling and that could be due to higher blood glucose than you want.
Everybody needs some salt just not too much.
Do you know what your last HbA1C is.
Cutting down on foods is fine as long as the foods you are eating are the right ones for your condition.
