Sounds like you need to reduce your insulin further when you cut down on your portion sizes to avoid feeding the insulin.Whenever I cut down on my portion sizes I have a lot more hypos. So I end up having more sweets and juices to bring my numbers back up. I’m struggling to find a balance.

Yes I can speak to a dietician. This is all very overwhelming for me as it , apparently shouldn’t have happened to me, at this age. My specialist said he knows of two other people with my condition, I’ve got diabetic amyotrophy and autonomic neuropathy, both of which should not present itself until at least 10yrs after diagnosis. This makes it extremely challenging to do any exercise, walking is out of the question, I have to be supported.I get days where my readings go haywire for no apparent reason - really annoying 😡.

Thanks for commenting, the specialist is meaning the whole package. There are a lot more problems than I’ve mentioned. I’m doing the Joe wicks seated exercises for seniors, just moved on to seated and standing. Does the specialist mean developing Type 1 or the other conditions as a friend was diagnosed Type 1 at nearly 80
