Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hey folks hope your doing well. I am pretty rubbish at this and for most part of last two yes I been in denial
Now am starting to take meds when meant and trying to lose weight and be aware of my health.
My main worry just now is can’t get life insurance keep getting refused
Any advise appreciated

Hi Catscottie, welcome to the forum🙂

What medication are you on, and what dietary advice have you been given? Do you know your HbA1c?

It may well be that your doctor will have written reports to the insurance companies. They always ask for medical reports. If he told them what you have said here, I’m not surprised you can’t get life insurance to be perfectly honest.

You need to become well controlled and motivated with regard to diabetes. That’s the first step.

But even then, you have to answer the inevitable question on a life insurance form - “have you ever been refused life insurance for any reason?”.

Do you need life insurance?

If I did that I would not be here. Welcome & please take it seriously. T1 & T2 are a little different but not worth looking after yourself. Good luck 🙂
