Hi, I have had a good meeting with the D nurse & she has ordered a Urine & a test to confirm what type I am. My number are great, "well you know what I mean" I am in range 82% over all she was pleased & suggested I was probably T2, the test would be conclusive. We are trilling Metformin 500g & moving away from stabbing my self & to see if I have any side affects as in Constipation (such a nice word). I guess Ill get all the numbers then & it would be nice to actually know T1 or 2, anyway have a good 2024 & be happy.

If you get any side effects from the metformin it is more likely to be the opposite of constipation!!!
Were the tests C-peptide and GAD antibodies as those are the tests that would need to be done.
If the C-peptide is a urine test be sure to follow the preparation instructions otherwise it will be less accurate than it is anyway, a blood test is better.

Well I'm beginning to think I'm cured, my numbers are between 5 & 9 for 83% and only go to 13/14 after meals so I'm done! I am being weaned of insulin shot onto metformin over 4 weeks but my number look great, so I'm sorted???

I'm not sure going as high as 13/14 after meals is all that good a it is still pretty high .
Even 9 is quite high but perhaps this is just a transition state and it will improve when you settle into a treatment regime.
