Does anyone know anything about this? Someone i was in school with is a represenative and wants to meet up with me to discuss it, are we alowed as diabetics to do Herbalife?

From googling it just looks like shakes to lose weight.................I wouldn't say you cant do it, but the program may eliminate carbs, which can come with other issues.............

I got caught out with this when I lived in the USA where it is big, it is like pyramid selling, the only way youi get to make decent money is by recruiting others to sign up and buy thier stock from you. My advice from experience, LEAVE WELL ALONE. appart from the diet drinks part it also involves herbal remedy tablets etc.

PS. If you decide to go ahead as a Representative Karen, I would be interested in your experience compared with mine in the USA.

How close are you to this person Karen? If not very, then I'd decline especially given what John has said. These schemes have been running for decades and often persuade people to contact as many people as they can. They then make money from products, but mainly from people willing to pay for training courses to learn how to recruit others! A friend of mine got very caught up in one (not Herbalife), spent a lot of money and got little out of it. The actual products being sold were nothing special that couldn't have been obtained cheaper from more trusted sources.

Learning the principles of healthy eating for good diabetes management doesn't have to cost much, if anything, and it means that you can be flexible in your diet and take advantage of what local shops and supermarkets have to offer. Get a copy of The GL Diet for Dummies from amazon or the library - easy to read and easy to follow! 🙂
