Hi my name is Andi. I'm 49 and have type 2 diabetes. I take 4 metformin a day and humanil m3 injected twice a day. I found out I had type 2 after talking to a friend who noted I was drinking a lot of water she suggested I see my GP which I did and my reading was 27. I was put on the metformin and within a week on gliclazide. We had to discontinue the gliclazide because it was having a negative affect on some medication I had to take. I was put on liraglutide and we tried to get that to stabilise my bloods without success. I am now on humunil m3 which I inject twice a day. I also take meds for chronic pain. I have had 6 surgeries on my spine the last left me limited mobility and stuck in a wheelchair when we go out. I find it difficult to lose weight even though I have a healthy eating regime. My blood pressure is always very high needing 3 types of meds to keep it under control. All of these react negatively on each other. Apart from the basics I know very little about my diabetes. I have lymphodema and when that gets infected it is treated as cellulitis. Please can someone help me make sense of all of this. I feel like my body is quitting on me and I can't halt it. I've looked on other forums but my GP suggested this one so here I am. HELP !!!
