Hi ive got type 1 diabitis . Ive got tingly feeling in my toes and a burning sensation on my right foot . Cant get appointment with my gp . Should i call the nhs line
Then insist you are seen, is there a nurse at the surgery, do you have DSN if so ring her?Ive been getting this feeling in my foot for a few days now n still cant get an appointment
NHS 111 can assist in getting the appointment, there is no harm calling them.Ring your surgery tomorrow morning and insist you have an apt as you have a problem with your feet and say you are diabetic so causing major concern to you. Can't see it needs attention right away as in now as it hasn't come on suddenly has it?
I wouldn't bet on that, stupid twit on the end of the phone asked me if I used insulin even after being told I was type 1, and it isn't the 111 service job to make Doctors apts for people imho.NHS 111 can assist in getting the appointment, there is no harm calling them.
No it is their job to advise the most appropriate treatment which may involve an out of hours appointment, or assist if you are struggling to get medical assistance. If you call asking for an appointment, then that will probably result in the response you have received. Just explain all your symptoms and ask for advice.I wouldn't bet on that, stupid twit on the end of the phone asked me if I used insulin even after being told I was type 1 and it isn't the 111 service job to make Doctors apts for people.
Your dietician is probably right. What you are describing is sciatica, which is almost certainly nothing to do with diabetes. I'm sure your doctor would say the same. It's an orthopaedic problem, caused by pressure on a nerve root in the spine. Why do you think she smiled "pathetically"? Is that your interpretation of a smile intended to reassure you that it isn't diabetes related?Iv been getting sharp pain last couple dys in hip left buttock and going down my foot just on left side. I mentioned it to dietician today she just made a remark she didnt think it was diabetes related and patheticly smiled at me.
