i go on holiday in about 2 hours and i just remembered that i forgot to ring animas to find out if my pump could go through xray!!! quick vote please, (on it says MRI with a cross through but not xray!!)

Hi Ellie,
I've flown quite a few times with my medtronic. I've never taken it off or put it though the machine. They just swab it to check for explosives (I think) and I've never had any problems.
Hope that helps and you don't have any issues! Enjoy your holiday!
Julia

thanks,🙂 that was what i was planning to do but the i read in balance that a columnist had put hers through the machine and got confused!!!

Medtronic dont seem to be effected by x-ray so hope animas are same. Enjoy 😎

Hi

It is very clear in the Medtronic manuals and I have phoned them, spoken to the product manager and confirmed that Medtronic pumps are NOT allowed to go through xray machines or into xray rooms in hospitals.

It could muck up the settings.

Always say at airports my pump can't go through the xray. They will normally swab it.

Hi Elliebug,

I am too late with this as you will have gone, so hope you have a nice time and didnt put your pump through the x-ray machine.🙂Bev
