As bubbsie has said anything can put your levels all over the place but I would tend to lean towards the chips and the banana not really helping, especially if the banana was slightly on the riper side x
Hi I can't help much as still trying to get myself under control, but I was advised bananas in moderation Apple's are better and no chips, but I also find it very confusing you are not alone good luck !
Welcome Sandy64. I agree it may have been the bananas and the chips. As people have said, the best way is to test what is affecting you.
I was diagnosed pre-diabetic last year and my GP told me to cut down on the amount of fresh and dried fruit I was eating, which was a lot, i.e. 6-7 pieces a day as well as dried fruit. I was also eating muesli and toast at breakfast, sandwiches at lunch, potatoes at tea time, all of which were not good.
I do not eat bananas very much now as I read that tropical fruits are not the best to eat. My friend was diagnosed diabetic a couple of years ago and was told that if she had a banana she had to treat it as two fruits. When I mentioned it to my diabetes prevention lady she had not heard that. So much confusing information.
I am very glad that I came on here as there is lots of good advice, not to mention the recipes.
