Dear Forumers

I got my HBa1c down to 46 And felt in control. Recently I’ve been struggling. Weight has been going back on and I’ve not being walking as much as I was - still about an hour a day. I had an tooth ulcer which I think was making me feel rotten but have been feeling a bit better since tooth was extracted. However, having not touched sugar or processed foods in over a year I have eaten, today, 1 Kit Ka, 5 Oreos and a chocolate krispie cake. i fighting with myself and losing.

The tooth ulcer will definitely have made you feel rotten and stressed so I’d put it down to that and not beat myself up about it. If you avoided those foods for a year then you’ve shown you have great willpower and are on top of this, it’s just the tooth causing a blip. Can you plan something nice to cook this weekend to get back on track?

Sorry to hear you’ve had a wobble @Largesse1! :(

It‘s perfectly natural and normal. You aren’t the first, and you won’t be the last forum member to go through this. But congratulate yourself that you have recognised it. You are aware thjngs are slipping and you want to change direction. That’s most of the battle!

I agree with @Lucyr - don’t beat yourself up, and recognise the strength of willpower that you have already demonstrated.

Breathe. Be kind to yourself. You CAN do this. And we are rooting for you 🙂
