we are heading to Lapland and wondering how best to keep insulin, meters etc at normal temperature during freezing conditions. Any tips or advice gratefully received.

Meter in an inside pocket - with your pens ?

Welcome to the forum, Loula.
What I did in cold areas eg winter hut to hut ski touring in Norway, spring / summer expedition to Chilean Patagonia, Falkands and South Georgia, I kept items in breast or hand pockets, with zips, in fleece jackets, with additional waterproof or snow / ski jacket over the top.
Have a great trip.

A warm welcome Loula ~ keep your insulin meter & pens safe and enjoy Lapland🙂

I just kept things inside other clothes. Pump hanging from bra in clothes, spar pens in an inner pocket.
As my DSN pointed out there are plenty of people in Scandinavia who have diabetes.
Just keep everything warm.

I got caught out once when I was testing for possible hypo, as I rested my test kit on a wall covered in snow!!! It did not work. After that I just put my test kit on top of a glove when testing. That worked.

How exciting. When do you go?
