Hi all

First time i've used this but i'm really stuck!!

I can't find an insurer to give me income protection. Is anyone else successful here?

Thanks
Rachel

Why not consult an insurance broker? He will attempt to fill your needs for his commision, and it might not cost more than going directly to an insurance company (it's the way that the commision is paid).

Although I managed to get life insurance for mortgage cover I never succeeded in getting medical or income protection. The last income protection quote I had was greater than the mortgage insurance!

Your best bet is to go through. Lloyd’s Of London broker. They specialise is tricky policies. Of course the premiums will be higher if you need to find them. Also, you may find that you can obtain cover but excluding diabetes. Insurance will only cover risk and pre-existing conditions are most likely to result in a claim.
