My problem, apart from hating being diabetic, is that I’m quite a picky eater. There aren’t many veg that I actually like, plus, as I’m allergic to some fish, I tend to avoid fish. I’m struggling to know what to eat.
Have an appointment with the nurse in ten days time but I want to get a head start on reducing my level (51). Any advice gratefully received.
Many thanks
Debbie

Hi Debbie
I am new to the forum too. I have been reading so much useful information on here. I felt very lost and confused. Tried this plan, that plan etc.
I do not eat meat but most fish. I have decided to follow excellent advice and am starting a low carb plan.
My glucose levels have been rising, so needed to do something.
It seems most people are having good results by cutting down on carbs
I hope it works.
Good luck

Hi, I like meat but hate any fish  I do like most veg but I also often make chilli or curry and either eat it without anything or sometimes have cauliflower rice. I make a lot of stir fry food so I can choose the veg I want to use. Omelette is always a good and quick alternative?

Hi Debbie. I’m new too 🙂
This forum has been an excellent help for me in reading what others are doing/trying/eating.

I’ve converted to cauli rice. I think it’s better with something with flavour as it could be a bit bland other wise (although my tastebuds have changed since changing my diet)
You could also try some quorn if you fancy it. It doesn’t seem to impact my levels (so far!)

Good luck with the nurse appointment 🙂
