What do you guys drink as a cold low sugar drink other than diet coke (which i am not supposed to drink for another medical reason) and water! I am way on holiday (in UK) and that is all i can find in cafes. Thanks.

If it is all carbonated drinks you have to avoid then you might struggle with anything other than water although there may be some zero carb flavoured waters around but if you are Ok with fizzy other than Coke then there is often Fanta light or 7 UP zero. Choice can be a bit limited I'm afraid.

Have you got the facility to bring sliced lemon, orange or mint, as that can be added to cold water and is very refreshing. Supermarkets sell the tiny bottles of no sugar cordial. Explain to cafe if they have no sugar free cordials you need to use your own. If there are others with you purchasing drinks/food I’m sure they won’t mind. Good luck. Hope you have a great holiday

At home, I often make myself iced (herbal/fruit) teas.
Basically, I make a very small cup of herbal tea with one or two tea bags in and then top it up with ice once it has brewed.
You could try asking a cafe. to bring you a herbal tea, with the bag in and a glass of ice.

I find this very refreshing and more interesting than just water.

Thank you. Some great ideas. I was only diagnosed in March and this is the first time I've had to think outside the box being away from home environment!

Theres a thing called cold infusions, there like tea bags for cold water but are fruit flavoured and virtually carb/sugar free. There not that cheap but do add plenty of flavour. Most major supermarkets sell them. (Generally in the tea bag section).
