The more I read about cholesterol the more confusing it is! I have been trying to get GP appointment all week. Because of COVID vaccination clinics there are less appointments and you have to phone on the day for an appointment, despite phoning at 8am every day the slots are already gone when I get through and I get told to try again the next day. After a week of trying it’s now getting ridiculous.
 
Finally had GP appointment and he talked about a referral to a lipid clinic to find out why my cholesterol is so high and whether a genetic link? Also agreed to a thyroid check as I have several lumps in my thyroid which have been scanned by ultrasound a couple of times.
 
Glad you managed to get an appointment and arrange some further checks. Hope they shed light on things for you.
